The programme

A partner route for UK nature organisations

Second Nature by Terevia is a monthly participation service for UK businesses. Businesses join at a fixed participation level, and Terevia uses part of its own revenue to support approved nature partners: organisations reviewed by Terevia and accepted into the programme.

This is not a grant scheme or a matched-funding campaign. There are no application rounds, no project conditions, and no dependency on campaign cycles. As participating businesses join the programme, Terevia makes its own contributions to approved partners.

Programme Updates and participant records may include factual information about the organisations supported through the programme and what those organisations are working on, based on updates partners provide.

Who can apply

We work with verified UK nature organisations

You do not need to be a registered charity. We look for UK nature work, the ability to document your activity, and a genuine commitment to nature conservation. The public Partner Standards v1 document explains the principles behind selection.

UK-based

Your organisation and nature work must be based in the UK.

Demonstrable nature work

Active conservation, restoration, habitat, access or education work that can be described factually.

Able to report activity

Willingness to provide periodic updates in a structured format.

Long-term commitment

Capacity for an ongoing programme, not a one-off project.

What the partnership involves

What you receive

Support is designed to provide organisations with flexible funding that can be used where it is most needed. Factual partner information may appear in Programme Updates, participant records and materials, once naming consent is separately confirmed. A relationship that isn't campaign-dependent or matched-funding reliant.

What participating businesses receive

A documented participation record, practical materials and carefully worded updates. Businesses can show that they take part without claiming ownership of a particular conservation outcome.

What we ask of you

A brief, factual description of your current conservation work. Occasional updates for Programme Updates and participant materials. Agreement to receive flexible funding through the programme structure.

A note on how we present your work. Second Nature by Terevia is designed with the CMA Green Claims Code and ASA guidance in mind. We never make environmental outcome claims on behalf of participating businesses, and we never attribute specific environmental results to individual contributions. Your organisation's name and work are presented factually, exactly as you describe it to us, and only once you've separately agreed to be named.

What this is not

Second Nature by Terevia is not a grant programme, sponsorship scheme, offset product, accreditation, or project commissioning model. It is a structured way for Terevia to support approved UK conservation organisations, with factual reporting showing how participation is recorded at business level.
